Panel discussion: Students, Computers and Learning – and us
October 15, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm
What is the impact of digital technologies on learning? The debate continues to rage. The recently published OECD report – ‘Students, Computers and Learning: Making the Connection‘ – has caused strong reaction across education sectors worldwide. It has raised questions related to the way we use digital technologies for learning, what works and what might not (yet) be so successful.
Each panelist will offer their own responses to the report, followed by discussion and questions with the audience. Join us to debate some of the issues related to using digital technologies for learning that the report raises for our NZ schools, kura and centres.
Our panel of highly-experienced, articulate and informed educators works deeply in the digital technologies for learning environment. Our panel guests are:
- Carolyn Stuart — Education Sector Lead with N4L Ltd. | @carolynstuart
- Claire Amos — Deputy Principal at Hobsonville Point Sec School | @claireamosnz
- Karen Melhuish Spencer — Senior Advisor with CORE Education | @virtuallykaren
- Dr. Noeline Wright — Senior Lecturer at University of Waikato | @enrite
